Hello Everyone! 💠 Welcome back to My Channel JediCarper! Today, we’re taking you on an exciting journey for my first time carp fishing at Brasenose 2 (Linear Complex), featuring Chunkster Fishing. Join us as we explore peg choices, rig setups, and all the highs and lows of this thrilling multi-day carp fishing adventure. Our session begins as I arrive at the lake (Linear, B1/B2) after a slight traffic delay. Together with Chunkster Fishing, we aim to set up for a multi-day session. After discussions about peg selection, I settled on peg 16, a spot with a remarkable recent record of 10-11 fish in 24 hours, setting the stage for an exciting start. At peg 16, in the shallows, I praise the past angler George for his impressive catches and take over the spot. Plans are made for three nights of fishing as we carefully set up rods, bait, and locations. The anticipation builds as we prepare for what could be an incredible carp session. Our first rods are deployed using solid bags with PB Wafter and a little dumbbell wafter, positioned ~18 wraps away. Spotting fish early gives us confidence in this bait and rig setup, proving that preparation and observation pay off. The excitement peaks as the first fish, a mirror carp of ~25 & 26 lb, is caught! Soon after, progressively bigger mirror carp (~27 lb) are landed. Throughout the afternoon, we refresh bait, reposition rods, and maintain focus as the session picks up in the evening. Night brings a few bites, but we persist—re-baiting, re-spotting, and experimenting with rig tweaks, PVA bags, and solid bag mixes. Decisions are considered: whether to move peg with Chunks or stay put. Ultimately, staying at peg 16 proves wise as new spots are found (~26 wraps), rods are refreshed, and despite rain and storms, we make the most of our downtime, cooking and setting up the bivvy. The final morning wraps up the session beautifully. Activity increases, more rods are out, and Chunks catches three fish in the last hours. While my own fishing quietens, the overall session is a success.
