How To Set Up Timers On A Desktop In this video, we are going to show you how to set up Timers. Timers can be used for a variety of devices but the most common uses is for your irrigation valves. To create a new Timer go into Rules. Then in your rule group click on Timers. And then click on Add Timer. Now you will select your Device. For this example, we will select Irrigation Valve. Next, we will set the timing. Click on Time Of Day. All Day means 24 hours, Day Only means when your grow lights are on, Night Only means when your grow lights are off, or you can enter a Custom Time. So we wanna feed our plants during the day when the lights are on, so we will choose Day Only. The Frequency is how often you want this Rule to run. For this one, we want to feed our plants every 4 hours. Duration tells us how long we will want the valve to stay open. So every 4 hours, we want to feed them for 6 minutes. Sync Time is used for when you wanna sync valves across multiple controllers. Now we will give this rule a name, click on Display Name. And enter a custom name, we will call this rule Feed. Now you can see on the description that During the day, the Irrigation valve will be switched on every 4 hours for 6 minutes. To Save, click Add Timer at the bottom.
