Can You Run A Vevor Chinese Diesel Heater For 3 Months Nonstop? Maybe, Why Not?

There’s a good portion of the winter where the wood stove is just too much heat for the small house I live in so lighting it for just a few hours a day seems like a huge waste of labor. So I picked up one of these Vevor diesel heaters used off the marketplace to see if this was a viable option. After running a permanent exhaust port through the wall next to the wood stove and a quick test run outside I plugged it in and let it run. And it ran for roughly 3 months straight nonstop other than the two times it shut down on its own. Both times it shut down I can’t really blame the machine because they kind of were my fault. The first shut down happened about two months in. Because I heat with wood and my house is over a hundred years old it tends to be a bit dusty. So over the two months it ran the dust had choked out the fresh air intake and the safety switch done its job and shut it down. The other time I forgot to top it off with fuel and ended up being gone for longer than expected and it ran dry and shut down. It’s now time to start prepping for the next crappy winter season and pull this heater apart and see how bad it is. I can say I am impressed with how it looks on the inside and am probably to blame for the soot accumulation from not running the heater on a high enough temperature.
