https://lecentrenature.com/ In this video, I'm checking out the trail network of Centre Nature Saint-Basile in St-Basile Quebec. The trail network runs through a variety of terrain but the bulk of the trails are on a logging plot, filled with old growth pines and meadows that have been clear-cut. This makes for a very beautiful scenery and ambience. Most trails are Blue/Green and the elevation changes are not that drastic, anywhere from ~50-100ft delta's, making it a great place for beginner and intermediate riders. If you're feeling adventurous, further out, at the back of the network, there are two super fun downhill trails, one is an intermediate flow trail with twists and berms, the other is a more rocky and technical black diamond with tons of character. Overall, Centre Nature Saint-Basile is a really scenic trail network, with well designed, flowy trails, catering to beginner and intermediate riders. A great trail for those new to MTB, families and children. La "Ced" du bon bon! (Keystone) 8.4/10 Short but sweet. This trail flows down the side of a pine forest valley. You'll be greeted with bumps, jumps and berms. It's super fun. La Ti-Ness Bicycle Runs basically in parallel with La "Ced" du bon bon! Same terrain, same level of fun. Short but sweet. Use these trails to finish off your ride. La Alphonse 7/10 A decent trail for beg/intermediate riders. This trail loop snakes through a pine forest on mostly flat terrain. An ok trail but not a whole lot of character. Possibly skip it. La Pic-Niche: Montée 7.3/10 This is a short climb of about 50-100ft, through pine forest. Because of its' location near the stream, the dirt was slightly greasy. La Pic-Niche: Descente 7.3/10 A short downhill side trail with a few dips and bumps a small rock drop. Fun but overall quite short. Possibly skip. La Nunavut (Keystone) 8.1/10 This is a fun downhill flow trail on the back end of the network. It has a mix of intermediate rocky tech at the beginning then turns into a flow trail with gravel berms, bumps and dips. Points deducted just because it's so far to get to. L'Inukshuk (Keystone) 8.1/10 This is a fun downhill flow trail on the back end of the network. This trail is mostly rocky tech, ride across beautiful rock armoring and easy slabs but watch out for the moss!. Points deducted just because it's so far to get to. La Chasse Galerie (Keystone) 8.4/10 This is a fun, intermediate flow trail that runs along the top side of the river valley and finishes in a massive bowl berm downhill section. This is a must do, as a return trail. M.Gustave (Keystone) 8.4/10 This is another fun, beginner trail that should be linked up after finished La Chasse Galerie. It meanders through peaks and valleys of the clear-cut meadow with clear site lines and views of old pine stumps along the way. This is a great trail for beginners, kids and families.
