This was my first weekend of taking part of a proper championship race meeting in the kart (Super 4). For some reason my camera didn't record heats 1 & 2 correctly so I only have the 2nd heat on video. In this heat I was starting from 7th (in the 1st heat I started from 2nd and finished 11th). My pace this weekend was a clear 11th fastest (around 1-1.2s a lap behind the main group and about the same ahead of the karts behind me) so I was kind of racing in a bit of a 'no mans land'. My start wasn't great in this heat but as expected I was quickly shuffled into my 11th place with the faster guys behind me getting by and me overtaking one of the slower karts myself. I was able to profit from the retirement of a kart in front of me to cross the finish line in 10th place. Although my pace wasn't quite what I would have liked I was at least lapping consistently throught the race with my laps remaining within around 0.25s of my best. In the final heat of the day I started from 13th on the grid and finished 10th putting me 11th out of 13 on the grid for the final. Chassis: Kart Republic (2020) Engine: TM KZR1
