Just the Facts: European Lithium expands in Ireland with key acquisition and leadership appointment

Proactive’s Tylah Tully breaks down ‘Just the Facts’ of the latest news from European Lithium Ltd (ASX: EUR, FRA: PF8, OTC: EULIF). The company has completed the acquisition of LRH Resources Limited, owner of the Leinster Lithium Project in Ireland. The project, south of Dublin, encompasses 23 prospecting licences, split between a northern and southern block. Both blocks include areas where lithium-bearing spodumene pegmatites have been identified, with recent diamond drilling results enhancing its exploration prospects. To lead the development of this new project, the company has appointed George Karageorge as executive general manager of Exploration. Karageorge brings more than 30 years of experience in mining, including work in lithium, gold and base metals across various regions. Known for his expertise in advancing projects from exploration to production, he is expected to play a pivotal role in strengthening European Lithium’s position in the European lithium market. The acquisition was finalised through the transfer of 1,371,742 shares in Critical Metals Corp (CRML) held by European Lithium to Technology Metals plc. These shares will remain locked until February 2025.
