WRC, Baja 500, Dakar, Gravel Sprints, Hill Climbs, it doesn't matter what you're driving or at what level you're at, there are fundamental skills you need to know in order to not just get podium results, but potentially even just finish. Texas Dave of the Rally Ready Driving School gives us an introduction on how to use your left foot braking technique to help corner faster using a FWD application for the example, but also discussing 4WD and RWD applications along the way. In this second lesson of four at the Rally Ranch, we will apply the left foot braking technique to some cornering exercises in order to start to train our brain on where to position our left foot and also how to modulate it more than the simple 'up or down' usage it tends to see on the clutch pedal. As well as this technique you will learn how to start thinking more about your hand position on the wheel while cornering which is very different from the normal street or circuit driving and just like the straight-line braking we covered in the previous lesson this is something best started in a low-speed situation with plenty of room to run out wide or cut in sharply.
