No official movie coming soon so far. ►What is the aim for making these trailers? In Macam Studios they are created to inspire film-makers, actors and fans to dreaming without limits, through ‘what if’ trailers. ►How are ‘what if’ trailers made? I start by becoming a fan of the film, then research franchise news, fan theories and updates about the dream film. Then find new clips of the actors and any elements that makes the the franchise known for. Ultimately to create a ‘what if’ trailer using effects, music, AI, and editing software like Wondershare Filmora, Photopea, and more. ►What makes Macam Studios unique from other Fan Trailer channels? Unlike other channels, Macam Studios state at the beginning of each trailers that its 'fan made'. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Editing Journey: I made this The 5th Wave 2 fan-made trailer with the goal of keeping the plot simple yet intense. The idea was straightforward—The Others are not done yet. The 5th wave was just the beginning. While crafting the trailer, I wanted to capture that lingering sense of danger and desperation, making it feel like a natural continuation of the original film. Editing an alien invasion trailer was refreshing for me since I don’t usually work in this genre. It was a fun challenge to create a gripping, high-stakes atmosphere while maintaining the essence of The 5th Wave. Luckily, the abundance of alien films provided plenty of new footage to use, making the editing process even more exciting. One of the best creative choices was having Cassie narrate the entire trailer. It worked better than I expected, especially since the original film already had her narrating, making it feel authentic and seamless. Her voice-over added an emotional core while tying the intense action together. Seeing The 5th Wave 2 "what if" trailer become a surprise hit on my channel was amazing, and if this momentum continues, I’d love to make more versions exploring different angles of the story. Whether expanding on new threats or diving deeper into the survivors’ struggles, there’s plenty of potential to bring this fan-made sequel to life in even bigger and better ways.
