The third generation Ford F series was produced from just 1957 till 1960 and brought a few changes to the lineup such as wider cabs and integrated fenders. A panel van version was quite popular and it offered an integrated body with enclosed storage space. The third generation was the last model to the panel van. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this unique custom panel van for your consideration. Finished in bright fire truck red, its hard to miss this van. The van is recently out of long term ownership, with the current owner having kept it since 1999. It is claimed that there have been three previous owners and that the van had spent the first 25 years of its life at Fort Campbell military base. The van is highly modified and features a body that was completely redone in 2012, the paint was redone on it at the same time. The body is in excellent shape overall and sits on chrome 15in wheels. The bumpers have been shaved for that clean custom look and the hood features louvres and a cobra hood ornament. Dual exhausts and rear barn doors round out the exterior. The interior has been highly customized as well and features full furnishings. A clean dashboard features a custom electronic gauge cluster as well as an overhead wood console with a fan and lighting elements. A custom sound system has been installed, handmade wooden cabinetry, custom wood guitar decorations, and is also fully carpeted. In addition it features newer seats from a Ford Aerostar and an AM/FM/CD interface. On the mechanical front, this van features a 351cid Windsor V8 out of a 1975 Galaxie, a C6 automatic transmission from a 1985 Econoline, Lincoln Versailles rear end with disc brakes, Mustang II front end with disc brakes, rack and pinion power steering, IDIT steering column, aluminum radiator, and electronic ignition. Whether you want to cruise in style right out of the box or customize it more to your own tastes, this Shaggin' Wagon won't disappoint!
