Title: Kisaan Ekta Zindabaad (Music Video) - Punjabi Hip Hop Protest Song 2021 Caption: Over 250 million of the Indian population gathered to protest against the Indian government's Farmers Bills. Young, elders, people of all genders, religions and regions gathered, they agreed that the time had come to unite together to abolish the biased corrupt economic system within the Indian government. The Kisaan (Farmer) issue was not addressed by mainstream media for many years. There were a lot of Kisaans (Farmers) that were committing suicide because their crops were affected by climate change and chemical aggravation. The government passing three unfair Farmer Bills shocked the Kisaan all over India. The people rose to attain justice over this decision, that was made without input or consultation from the Farmers associations. The Indian government, led by Mr Modi did not mindfully consider that if the Kisaan can't sell their crops at a price protected rate, then eventually they could be driven out of the competitive market by corporations and thus the majority of Farmers will not be able to feed themselves or their families. Generational livelihoods are at stake, in a very real way. Breathe Rapper witnessed this happening in the world so he, his music producer @NeeyatSaaf and his team @MindCampMusic thought it would be a great idea to make a revolutionary Kisaan song reflecting on the feeling of the people, focusing on unity (Ekta). Breathe also recognised that the massive population of female Kisaan, sadly are not being mentioned in any other Kisaan songs or media news so we also thought that would be great to add some visual videos of the women kisaans (although it was hard to find footage of them so we did the best we could with limited resources). This is a charity record and all proceeds and income from streams of this song will be sent to the farmers aid charity at Khalsa Aid.
