Skyline was born from a moment that stayed with me for years. Back in 2019, during my first trip to Mexico City for EDC, I found myself staring at the city skyline at night—completely amazed by its scale, its lights, and its energy. That image became inseparable from the music I was listening to at the time, especially tracks by Coldplay and deadmau5. Every time I returned to CDMX, that same feeling came back. Watching the skyline at night, listening to deep house and melodic electronic music, feeling the ambition and greatness of the city. Back then, I wasn’t producing music yet—but the connection was already there. About a year and a half ago, I started producing music. On my most recent visit to CDMX, those same emotions returned—but this time, chords started forming in my head. I translated that feeling into synths inspired by the sounds I grew up loving, and that’s how Skyline came to life. This track connects sound with image: the nighttime skyline of Mexico City, the energy of its streets, and the feeling of being surrounded by endless possibilities. It also fills me with joy that Skyline is released on the first day of EDC Mexico—where the city meets the biggest electronic music event in the country, and the most PLUR-driven gathering in Mexico.
