This is my very good friend Bear Standing Tall. Here he is drumming & singing the 'Anishinaabe Spirit Bear" song. This is a very special song, about the great rare white spirit bear in the forest. The Spirit Bear symbolizes Peace, Purity, Strength, Endurance, and Determination. Bear Standing Tall or Jason Carter is Nehiyaw, a Sundancer, and Pipe Carrier belonging to Bear Clan, from Onion Lake Cree Nation, in Saskatchewan, treaty 6 territory. He is a survivor of Canada's Residential School System, as he attended "Day School" Mr. Carter is also an entrepreneur who is the founder & CEO of a company, of his same name "Bear Standing Tall & Associates" which provides Digital Indigenous Corporate Cultural Awareness Training, along with Advising. In Brandon, MB he completed a Bachelor's degree in First Nations & Aboriginal Counselling. Jason practices, and leads traditional ceremonies in his community, or communities he visits to. He genuinely loves sharing his authentic Indigenous knowledge, which creates healing and wellness for many indigenous, and non-indigenous allies, including newcomers to Canada. It will be held on Sept. 30th for the first time this year in Canada. Government buildings and offices will be closed, but schools will remain open. So sort of like Remembrance Day. We are hoping for the strength and determination needed in this enduring time, to help bring more awareness to the horrible atrocities, that have gone on for far too long, to Indigenous First Nations Peoples in Canada. So that we can bring peace, and purity back to Canada and it's Native people, through true reconciliation... Bear Standing Tall had the honour to open the TSX (Toronto Stock Exchange), on Sept 30th 2021, for Canada's Inaugural National Day For Truth & Reconciliation.
