So, I finally got my hands on one of these. Always saw them for sale in the ads in the back of photo mags, and just wondered what the deal was. Turns out it's a pretty nice camera for being completely automatic. But it's a dedicated close-focusing machine. No infinity focus, but is capable of 1:1 magnification with the non-interchangeable 100mm f/4. How does it fare when shooting normal subject matter and not just teeth? To find out, I put it up against a Minolta 8000i with a 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens. Both shot Kodak Pro Image 100.
