Meet Sanket Kumar from Patna - a short-seller in the Equity segment and he has been around for a while. Sanket was a businessman earlier, in fact he had run more than one business in the past and all of them were built by him from scratch. He got into Equity investments initially with a small capital during the covid times with the help of a few friends. That was a passive thing though but things really started much later in 2-3 years in fact. He never got into Options but was majorly into Intraday Trading. Over a period of time, he even got a set-up going based on technical analysis, however when it came to Trading Psychology and the number of trades one must punch in, he had almost no control. This went on for a while which made him eventually lose around INR 40 Lakhs in the process. He was one of the rarest guests who actually did lose very less money into options trading. We did ask him that question too. Anyway, this 40 Lakh Loss was never discussed with his parents or family. He kept it for his friends and sister. As per Sanket, he was lucky to have these people around in his life. These people later helped him to confess the whole loss-making story to his parents. While we were discussing his PnL, it was pretty apparent that the days when he was in a loss, he would trade multifold more than the days when he was in profit. This would then actually increase his loss amount in form brokerage to another level. Basically, this podcast is about a young man who got into trading, with not a lot of expectations, but just to prove himself that he can be a trader. Sanket still has that passion for the stock market.
