Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han inaugurated the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) at Lincoln Center in New York. Their vision was bold and clear: to create a world where people of all nations, faiths, and cultures can live together as “One Family Under God.” 🌍 Two Decades of Service Over the past 20 years, UPF has grown into a worldwide alliance of peacebuilders. Together with governments, civil society, youth leaders, women’s organizations, and faith communities, we have: ✔️ Promoted interfaith dialogue and reconciliation across divides ✔️ Advanced the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through education, humanitarian relief, and sustainable initiatives ✔️ Launched seven global peace associations engaging parliamentarians, faith leaders, women leaders, business innovators, artists, scholars, and former heads of state ✔️ Empowered youth and students for peace through character education, service-learning, and global volunteering ✔️ Elevated the role of families and women as foundations of lasting peace ✔️ Mobilized thousands of Ambassadors for Peace in more than 190 countries 💡 Our Principles Remain the Same Our Principles UPF’s work is guided by five core principles: 1. We affirm that humanity is one family under God. 2. We hold that our highest qualities are spiritual and moral conscience, compassion, integrity. 3. We recognize the family as the primary school of love and peace. 4. We uphold living for the sake of others as the path to reconciliation. 5. We insist that lasting peace requires cooperation across ethnicity, faith, and nation.
