This year marks a totally new era for Apple’s MacBooks. In 2026 they will not only upgrade the current MacBooks but will also introduce a brand new line of budget MacBooks. For their 50th anniversary Apple is starting out BIG. This new budget MacBook is a totally revolutionary move on Apple's part. They're trying to make some inroads into the education market. While they may not be able to compete head-to-head with Chromebooks these new MacBooks may be what schools who currently use iPads are looking for. Some school districts like Los Angeles Unifies are fed up with needing to upgrade computers due to the snafu with Windows 11 and are looking for alternatives. This new MacBook may be just what they want. Major companies, especially in the area of finance, have also stated their desire to look outside of Windows Machines due to Windows 11. Some have already stated they are switching to Macs for their large numbers of laptops. Then later in 2026 Apple may even do a second update of the MacBook Pro with a revolutionary improvement.
