It invites us to explore beautiful coral gardens teeming with macro life, including the elusive frogfish. Drift diving here is a thrill, as the gentle currents reveal the rich biodiversity of North Sulawesi's underwater world. BATU SAHAUNG is a series of large underwater peaks. The current can be strong, and visibility is about 15 meters, with depths ranging from 5 to 40 meters. Common sightings include white-tip reef sharks, rays, eagle rays, nudibranchs, and seahorses. BATU TIGA - "THREE ROCKS" which means "three rocks" or three peaks: two peaks are above the surface, while the third is submerged. This dive typically has no current and starts on a sandy slope reef, where you can find eels, scorpionfish, small reef fish, and gobiesThe rare white colonial weathervanes on the reef are also a highlight. ARENG KAMBING- the massive coral formations known as "bommies." These structures are teeming with a diverse range of marine life, from common reef dwellers to unique and extraordinary species often found at top muck diving sites. Beyond the coral bommies lies a vast sandy area covered with seagrass, where, with a bit of luck, you might spot the elusive dugongs grazing. TANJUNG LIHUNU is right near the village of Lihunu. Tanjung Lihunu is a fantastic diving spot, characterized by hard corals. It is a home to leaf scorpionfish and eels, and the currents passing through make it one of the best places around Bangka to see larger pelagic species. Whitetip reef sharks sometimes swim through the area, and tuna can often be spotted in the blue waters. LIHUNU GARDEN is Just a stone's throw away, in the bay in front of the village of Lihunu. Vibrant anemones provide a home for curious clownfish, and a mix of soft and hard corals creates a colorful bouquet of underwater life. BUSA BORA is located on the southern coast of Bangka Island and features a slope of mixed black and white sand. Busa Bora, also known locally as "Sabora," offers a stunning dive with an average depth of 17 meters and visibility ranging from 5 to 10 meters. BUSA BORA 2 - In the immediate vicinity of Busa Bora lies another dive site, Busa Bora 2. Here, too, the vibrant corals are teeming with tropical fish of all kinds. Fan-shaped corals, anemones, and sea creatures of all shapes and colors make the underwater palette astonishing, leaving one reluctant to return to the surface. MIMPHI INDAH HOUSE REEF - Since 2012, the Mimphi Indah Resort has been working with the Yayasan Suara Pulau Foundation, which focuses on environmental protection and preservation. Together, they have implemented artificial reef structures on the resort’s house reef, using a technique called biorock technology.
