Frozen shoulder can be slow, painful, and frustrating — especially after a period of inactivity. After retiring, I developed what I later learned was frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis). At first, I thought it was a rotator cuff problem, but assessment and imaging suggested frozen shoulder. In this video, I share: • What stage of frozen shoulder I was in • The simple broomstick exercises I was given • How often I did them • And how my shoulder mobility improved over two weeks, and continued to improve over the following month These movements didn’t “fix” my shoulder overnight — but they helped start the thawing process and restore movement gradually. This video is shared from one senior to another, to show what helped me after proper assessment. ⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE This video is not medical advice. It is not diagnostic or prescriptive. If you have shoulder pain that is severe, worsening, sudden, or unexplained, please seek assessment from a qualified healthcare professional. 🧹 EXERCISES SHOWN IN THIS VIDEO • Assisted overhead arm raises (broomstick) • Lateral arm lifts to overhead • Assisted shoulder extension • Table push-back stretch (lat & scapular mobility) • Wall slides from 90° to full extension I performed the broomstick exercises 3–4 times per day, with the bonus exercises when I could. rozen shoulder adhesive capsulitis frozen shoulder exercises frozen shoulder mobility shoulder stiffness shoulder pain seniors shoulder mobility exercises broomstick shoulder exercise shoulder rehab at home senior fitness over 50 fitness no frills fitness 0:03 Introduction 0:37 Stages of Frozen Shoulder 1:33 Magic Broomstick 2:58 Broomstick Shoulder Flexion 4:35 Broomstick Shoulder Abduction 6:33 Broomstick Shoulder Extension 7:43 Important Bonus Exercises 12:40 Conclusion and final thoughts.
