A tribute video in memory of the late Father Andreas Karakallinos (born Pavlos Kalantzis), who fell asleep in the Lord on March 18th, 2020. This memorial traces the moving journey of his life: from his humble childhood in Ellinopyrgos, Karditsa, and the early loss of his father, to his success at the Hellenic Military School of Corps Officers and his career as a Major. His life changed after reading “The Way of a Pilgrim.” With the blessing of Saint Paisios and Saint Ephraim of Katounakia, he resigned from the Army in 1991 and devoted himself entirely to God at the Holy Monastery of Karakallou on Mount Athos. The video presents: 1️⃣ His difficult childhood and the holy patience of his mother. 2️⃣ His academic success and military career. 3️⃣ The moment of his great decision and the divine intervention experienced by his brother. 4️⃣ His life as a monk, his obediences, and the renovation of the Monastery. 5️⃣ His greatest gift: the consolation, love, and tireless help he offered to thousands of people. 6️⃣ His steadfast patience during his twelve-year struggle with cancer. “We are an entire regiment — all of us who, thanks to Father Andreas, became the spiritual children of Elder Philotheos.” 🕯️ May his memory be eternal. May we have his blessing. 🙏 If you were blessed to know Father Andreas or if his story touched your heart, feel free to share your thoughts in the comments. 🚫 This video and its audiovisual content are protected by applicable copyright laws. ⛔ Any partial or full reproduction or editing, beyond private use, is prohibited without permission from the uploader. ✏️ P.S.
