Alaric is angry and annoyed that he's taken just a fling and made it into something more that just sex but he ignores it; tries to forget it thinking that Damon just thinks he's in love. Damon arrives at Alaric's classroom at the end of a school day and they start arguing and what they are and what they aren't; Alaric accidently blurts out that one day that he thinks he may be able to return the feelings (which are beginning to grow) and the sentiment and Damon is happily shocked. The spent the rest of the night together; they get up to shower the sweat and blood off but as Damon starts the shower before Alaric joins that when Alaric does he's stood in awe of the beautiful man who is naked in front of him. Damon is over-come from the intensity of the stare that he stops the shower to continue having sex. Alaric wakes up when Damon is still asleep and realizes he can't do this; it's against who he is and his morals and so on so forth so he gets dressed and leaves in his car purposely leaving Mystic Falls for a couple weeks and Damon delves into depression. Whilst Alaric is away; he realizes that he does love Damon and wants to be with him. So he returns. Damon is now peeved and angry and snaps at Alaric when he comes back to Damon's house but that ends in them having a hot and passionate kiss then Alaric pulls away from it and admits he loves him too.
