History of the song. Cruiser to Orion Part 6 is the first song I composed back in 1985, and it was originally called Evolution Part 1. Seeing that it didn't fit very well on the album Evolution, I decided to discard it and compose a new part to replace it for my first album. At that time, I had only one synthesiser: the Kawai SX 210. Soon after, I got my hands on the Yamaha RX 11 drum machine, the Sequential Circuits Six-Trak, the Roland Jupiter 4 Compuphonic, and one of the best synthesizers I still have and use today: the Korg DW 8000. Finally realising that this song was better suited as part of the Cruiser to Orion album, I decided to revamp and improve it, while taking care to preserve the original essence of the track. Historia del tema musical. Cruiser to Orion Part 6 es la primera canción que compuse allá por el año 1985, y originalmente se llamava Evolution Part 1. Al ver que no cuadraba muy bien en el álbum Evolution, consideré a que pasara a ser un descarte y componer una nueva parte que la sustituyera para mi primer álbum. En esa época tenía un único sintetizador; el SX 210 de Kawai. Al poco llegaron a mis manos la caja de ritmos RX 11 de Yamaha, el Six-Trak de Sequential Circuits, el Roland júpiter 4 compuphonic y uno de los mejores sintetizadores que sigo teniendo y utilizando a día de hoy; el Korg DW 8000. Viendo finalmente que esta canción cuadraba mejor como una parte del álbum Cruiser to Orión, decidi renovarla y mejorarla, aunque teniendo cuidado de conservar la esencia original del tema.
