Cindy and Rick are at the 2025 East Tennessee Bowed Psaltery Gathering. They found time during the lunch break to do a few videos and get started on this year's Christmas songs. The song choice this time is "O Come, All Ye Faithful". Cindy is playing an arrangement by Larry Conger and Rick makes up his part as we work through the Dry Run looking for that "Acceptable" final version. The dry run usually consists of lots of mistakes, chatter, and other fun things that can happen to Cindy and Rick as they attempt to make these videos. This one is no exception with a visitor, police presence, and a mini-kilt sighting. How does all that make any sense? Watch the dry run and find out. "O Come, All Ye Faithful", also known as "Adeste Fideles", is a Christmas carol that has been attributed to various authors, including John Francis Wade (1711–1786), John Reading (1645–1692), King John IV of Portugal (1604–1656), and anonymous Cistercian monks. The earliest printed version is in a book published by Wade. A manuscript by Wade, dating to 1751, is held by Stonyhurst College in Lancashire. 1 O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant, O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem! Come, and behold Him, born the King of angels! Refrain: O come, let us adore Him; O come, let us adore Him; O come, let us adore Him, Christ, the Lord! 2 God of God, Light of Light, lo, He abhors not the virgin's womb; very God, begotten not created; [Refrain] 3 Sing, choirs of angels; sing in exultation; sing, all ye citizens of heav'n above! Glory to God, all glory in the highest![Refrain] 4 Yea, Lord, we greet Thee, born this happy morning; Jesus, to Thee be all glory giv'n! Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing! [Refrain]
