Welcome to another video! Today we're tub cleaning the vintage primus single tub washing machine. I have finally fixed it and this treasure is now fully working. Before we start I am gonna tell you a bit about it: I bought this machine online for total 43€, it was working but the drain had clogged completely and when I unclogged it there was leaks. I used some silicone and waterproof tape to fix it, it took me a few weeks to get it all done as I barely had time. But here it is now fully working! We're doing an empty tub clean on it today, using an anti-limescale tablet and some white vinegar, I brought hot water from upstairs. Machine info: Primus model "MINI" manual operated single tub mini washing machine Year approx. 1960s Made in Gullegem, Belgium 1.5kW heater for the water included Gravity drain Motor RPM 1350 ELNOR asynchronous motor 690 watts fan-cooled Wash timer goes up to 400 seconds (about 6 and a half minutes) Now here is a bit of history about the brand: Primus is well known today for making industrial laundry equipment. (professional washers, dryers, ironers etc.) But they actually never started like that. Primus back in the day was very different. Found in 1911 in Gullegem, Belgium they started making household machines, manual operated ones at first. Single tub washing machines and spin dryers. I'm not sure if they made wringer washers too. Later on, they made the primus "FUTURA" washing machine which was the first ever Belgian fully automatic washing machine. From then and on, they made automatic washing machines and tumble dryers. They are so old and rare that there's no pictures online. In 1970', they started focusing on industrial machines and that's what the company has became today known worldwide. Back onto the video, I have put chapters showing everything on the machine. Enjoy!
