Dance of the Hoo Hoo (Emma Y. Suckert) was created for an organisation known as Concatenated Order of Hoo Hoo, one of the worlds oldest service organisations, and is associated with the forest products industry. Their clubs operate in six different countries, and the organisation formed in 1892. Their logo is a black cat with its tail curled into the figure nine. The organisation got its weird name from Arthur Johnson (one of the founders) to describe an alarming tuft of hair that grew on top of his fellow lumberman, Charles H. McCarer. The term “hoo hoo” became a catchphrase in the industry for anything bizarre or unusual, and the word “concatenate” means to unite and bring everyone together. The two words were combined, and was considered an appropriate name for the group. [ source : @HuskyShields ]
