Oh no, the day had come, the day of the final Brilliant Corners gig. I know how lucky I am, living in this country, having had the chance to see so many of their comeback shows and every single one being an exuberant burst of joy and laughs. But I do feel very sad knowing for sure that I will never see this wonderful group of friends playing these songs together again, these songs that have brought so much happiness to me over the years. But what a way to go out, in their hometown in front of mega fans old and new (though I must say, I will be just fine if I'm not slammed and bumped into by sweaty old men ever again!). The band were jumping and sweating from the very first song and we were all dancing and singing along. Thank you, Brilliant Corners for being simply brilliant and full of ten times the energy of most bands around today with incredible pop songs and observational, relatable lyrics. I'll always cherish you!
