Journey of Dr. R.N Basu, Kanpur Dr. Basu’s life had everything going for him – he was good academically and a fit athlete plus sportsperson who even played at the state level. He got through Medical college and took up the job of a Medical Practitioner. He got married and had a daughter and a son, A complete family, happy-go-lucky life – what else does a person need? But a sudden twist of fate left him completely devastated! He lost his father, and just after 3 months, he lost his wife! He went into depression, although tried hard not to break down in front of his children. He arranged for their school and everything else required for a proper upbringing of children but himself took to drinking alcohol to get over depression. It was at this juncture that Dr. S.C Nigam, his junior in Medical college, made his entry, and told Dr. Basu about Sahaja Yoga. Dr. Basu was quite sceptical in the beginning, but at the same time, he was very surprised by seeing Dr. Nigam’s changed behaviour – he definitely looked more calm, composed, stable and balanced than what he was originally! So observing a sea change in his junior’s nature and countenance, Dr. Basu agreed to attend a Sahaja Yoga session. What happened next…is something we all must hear directly from him!
