Although WHDC’s main source of funding through Columbia University ended last year, we will provide support to West Harlem through the Community-Based Grants (CBG) program this year. Recent cuts to funds by the federal government have already and will continue to stress our overburdened community, but WHDC will continue to strategically support programs that effectively impact the needs of our community. 2025 CBG funds programs in the following priority areas: Arts and Culture Housing Affordability & Preservation Economic Development Health and Human Services Older Adults Services Youth Grant awards are determined on a competitive basis. Award amounts are based on community impact and range between $5K - $30K. WHDC funds are designed to support program activities in West Harlem between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026.
