A Westlake woman is speaking out after a video of her father's arrest is shared on social media, sparking outrage and questions about how Westlake Police handled the situation. Herman Carpenter was at his home in Westlake on Tuesday after his 19-year-old daughter Harmonie Carpenter called him for help from the driveway. "I looked up and all I saw was police and guns," Harmonie said. Westlake police say they came to the home on Bradley Avenue about a reported stolen car after it was picked up by surveillance cameras. Harmonie tells 3News she was the one who reported her car stolen to Cleveland police last Friday after her ex-boyfriend wouldn't return it. But she recovered the car on Tuesday. "We took the car down to 2nd district in Cleveland and we got it removed. They told us that everything would be cleared up," she said. Cleveland police say they told her it would take "some time" for the car to be cleared. so Harmonie drove home. She says about an hour later, Westlake police rolled up, accusing her. That's when her father stepped in to help. "All he said was, 'This is her car, this is her car' And they're like 'Get over here right now,'" she said. Harmonie tells 3News she couldn't believe what was happening and felt she needed proof. Sia Nyorkor reports. READ MORE: https://www.wkyc.com/article/news/loc...
