Speed sketching with a fountain pen and document ink

I discovered that Kohinoor Document ink, even though it is one of the most robust inks out there, if you put water over the line within a few minutes, it will form a lovely green wash. I thought it would be fun to do a monochrome speed sketch to put it to the test. I'm using my new TWSBI Eco fountain pen in a Moleskine sketchbook. What can you sketch in 10, 15 or 20 minutes? Putting a little time pressure on yourself teaches you lots. You have to simplify, you have to be decisive, you sketch in a more intuitive way. There is no time for careful measurement and pondering what to put in or leave out. You can't be neat and colour carefully inside the lines. You just need to get a wiggle on. It also shows you that the excuse 'I have no time to draw' is just not valid!! This took 14 minutes. It is far from perfect, but hopefully caught a little of the character of the street.
