Let's join Kim of ART CLASSES FOR KIDS to make a Clay Sculpture of SALLY from The Nightmare Before Christmas. She's a stitched together ragdoll who Jack Skellington falls in love with. You'll make this sweet light blue character by creating her shoulders, head and arms. In art, this is referred to as a "Bust", only we'll be adding arms for her to rest her chin on. Kids love to sculpt with clay, especially with Crayola's Model Magic air-dry clay. This fun project is part of the Art Box series in which fans can purchase an individual Art Box (from artclassesforkids.com) with all the supplies included to follow along a video tutorial taught by instructor, Kim Bavington. She makes it easy to make what might look complicated when trying on your own. If you don't have one of her Art Boxes, no worries, you might just have the supplies already and can make it with your own clay, etc. or substitute with what you can find at home. This video tutorial is recommended for kids ages 8 and older. Here's a list of the supplies that are needed to make Sally! SUPPLIES: • Model Magic Clay 1 ounce White 1 ounce Blue 1 ounce Red 1 ounce Yellow (you may also make it with all white and color with markers) • Foamboard Base 5" x 5" (you may substitute with cardboard) • Black Sharpie Marker • 2 Wooden Sandwich Picks (you may substitute with toothpicks) • Scissors
