Two recent incidents have touched the hearts of people across India and abroad, reminding everyone about the values of kindness, courage, and inclusion. On 14 January 2026, a video went viral on social media showing Rohan Rana, a young Indian man living in Tokyo, Japan, helping an injured elderly Japanese commuter at a metro station. The elderly man had fallen and was bleeding, while many people walked past without stopping. Rohan and his friend immediately stepped in to help. Rohan checked the man’s injuries, gave first aid to stop the bleeding, and stayed with him until professional medical help arrived. When the elderly man offered him money as a thank you, Rohan politely refused and said it was more important to help someone in need. The video has been viewed over 4.6 million times, with people from different countries praising his humanity and saying kindness has no borders. In another inspiring story, on 19 January 2026, a video message by Abhishek Soni, a 32-year-old cricket fan with physical disability from Bamanapani village in Ujjain district, Madhya Pradesh, gained attention online. Abhishek shared his dream of watching an India vs New Zealand ODI match live at Holkar Stadium in Indore, but he was unable to get a ticket. His emotional appeal reached Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, who quickly arranged a ticket for him. Wearing his Team India jersey, Abhishek travelled to Indore and watched the match from the stadium. His happiness and excitement were captured in videos that soon went viral, inspiring many people across the country. Both these real-life stories show the true spirit of India. One highlights simple human kindness shown in a foreign land, and the other shows how support and inclusion can help fulfil someone’s dream. These moments remind us that empathy and care for others are what truly make a nation great. #Indians #IndianCulture #RepublicDay #IndiaJapan #INDvsNZ #MadhyaPradeshNews #Ujjain #IndiaSigningHands #ISH #ISHNews #ISL #IndianSignLanguage #SignLanguage ISH News broadcasts the Daily News and Entertainment online in Deaf-friendly accessible formats which are in Indian Sign Language (ISL), visual images with titles, voice-over and closed-captions.
