India’s indigenous navigation system NavIC, developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation, is facing a serious operational challenge. After the satellite IRNSS-1F lost its final atomic clock in March 2026, the number of satellites capable of providing navigation signals has dropped to only three — below the minimum required for accurate positioning.
