We accidentally joined a cult in the Danish countryside. No, really. What started as a volunteer gig turned into a sketchy, mind-control-y situation we had to literally escape — through a window. After that harrowing start, we made a break for Copenhagen to recover with museums, statues, and a visit to Christiania. Then, just when things felt normal again, we took a ferry to the tiny island of Fejø in time for one of the most delightfully chaotic parades we’ve ever seen — think tractors pulling floats full of eccentriccly dressed locals, homemade cars, and a lot of bikes. We followed it up with a quiet ride through apple orchards and along the coast, and yes, someone casually pulled out a tooth in a living room.
