‘Catastrophic’ blow: Meghan reportedly fears losing Duchess of Sussex title

Sky News contributor Louise Roberts reacts to reports that Meghan Markle fears losing her royal title, describing the prospect as “catastrophic” for the Duchess of Sussex. “Her whole global brand is based on being the Duchess of Sussex … if she loses her title and indeed if Prince Harry does as well, they become ordinary celebrities,” Ms Roberts told Sky News Digital Presenter Gabriella Power. “They’re in the same pool fighting for the same opportunities, less resourced and less well connected. “It’s a real issue for her because, you know, having that royal cachet is what people like and what makes people buy her jam or her edible flowers. “It will be catastrophic for her if she loses her title.”
