Here we explore the more eastern part as we get closer to Barstow. The scenery changes as the mountain pass gets left behind and the Open Mojave Desert begins. Track speed is 70 mph at some points east of Victorville so I was hoping to get some fast hot shots slamming the jointed rail out there. I did get to see some high speed trains but I’ve definitely seen faster but the reason for trains not going full speed was good bc there was a lot of action causing congestion but that’s always a good problem to have!
