Mira Nair believes her role in life is to tell stories and she has been relentless in her pursuit to do this. Her latest film "The Reluctant Fundamentalist" is groundbreaking. She wanted to make a film that would change the way people think and she has done it. She felt she was the perfect person to tell a story of East and West that would allow people to go beyond the stereotypes. Mira Nair was inspired by Mohsid Hamid's book.
