Converting from DC to DCC. Railroad Staging yard Progress. (This Video includes a guest appearance)

Time to cut gaps in the frogs and power them. I’m a pinball wizard, maybe.🧙‍♂️ This sure became a fun video for me edit. Going to give you an update on converting our HO scale staging yard from DC to DCC. The rest of the layout had been converted years ago. But now it is time to do the yard. Most the turnouts on the yard tracks routed DC power down the track through the points. Now that we have added feeders to the yard tracks. This is going to make the turnouts short out. So now I have to cut gaps in all the frogs. Also to increase reliability of getting power to the frogs.🐸 I need to add in a micro switch to route power for us. I happen to have a bunch of micro switches to help out. But they need a little work. Kind of stuff you might find in a pinball machine. We could use Tam Valley Frog Juicers. And we may at some point in time do that. It would be easier. However, with the micro switches I already have. It is only costing me one penny to do each one. (not counting the cost of the mounting screws) Speaking of pinball machines. We have a guest appearance in this video. Also Dad made some progress on the fascia board and scenery.
