2025 Hyundai Tucson PHEV First Road Trip: Toronto to Florida!

We are off to Florida in our new vehicle for the first time! With less than 1000km on the car before we left home, we figured it would be the perfect time for a road trip. ** Updated Video: If you watched our last upload of this, you'll have noticed that there were massive chunks of video with no audio. What we realized is that if you're hooked into the Tucson audio system on your phone, using Bluetooth or CarPlay, your phone will not record audio! We use Cate's phone to record our road trip videos, therefore, all the sections where Cate was driving (and we were listening to her music!) and James was recording had no audio in them... We've cut them down for this video edit now - so sorry for anyone who watched the initial upload - but at least now we know! Learning curves of a new vehicle ;) If you've been to our channel before, you'd know that we go on road trips about twice a year, and we were previously doing this in our Tesla Model 3. This time, we're driving our 2025 Hyundai Tucson Plug-In Hybrid, through the same route that we love: Ontario, New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. We are testing out the driver assist functions, we're figuring out how the hybrid functioning works and how to best charge it without plugging it in (hint: try Sport Mode!) and we're updating you with all the tips and tricks that we learn on our 2000km drive: what better way to get to know your vehicle?!
