Nandi county fetes Berlin marathon heroes and gifts them cows

The Nandi County has clarified that the sporting residential complex that is being constructed is the one that will be named as the Eliud Kipchoge complex and that the Kipchoge Keino Stadium in Kapsabet will remain as named. This clarification was issued by the Nandi County governor, Stephen Sang, during a breakfast held in honour of marathon world record holder Eliud Kipchoge as well as three time Berlin Marathon winner Gladys Cherono. The 250 bed capacity residential complex is 25% complete and the county envisions it to be completed in one and a half years. When complete Nandi county hopes that the facility will serve as host for Team Kenya ahead of international assignments. The county is also modernising the Kipchoge Keino stadium.
