Glasgow Barras, Linlithgow Palace, & Blackness Castle

@Andrew Luke was in Scotland and Accies wanted to show him a bit of the place. We first headed to the Saracen Head Inn, a Celtic bar these days, to the east of Glasgow city centre, where we were lucky enough to be treated to a spot of live music over a drink as we prepared to go through the Barras across the street. Then, on the Monday, Sufy and I drove through to meet the guys at Linlithgow Palace where we explored the extensive structure & grounds before heading a little further east. Blackness Castle was our last stop and somewhere none of us had previously visited. Despite being a foreboding old fortress, to provide a secure location for the imprisonment of the most high-profile offenders, it was gorgeous as the sun set. We finished our day by heading north, then immediately back south, over the Queensferry Crossing under a purple sky and caught the Kelpies on the way home 💜
