In August of 2025, I joined a group trip to Kyrgyzstan with no idea of what to expect from the country. It ended up being the greatest trip I've gone on. From Song Kul lake to the forests of Altyn Arashan, Kyrgyzstan was one of the most diverse places I've ever been to in both geography and people. I will forever appreciate the kindness and hospitality of the Kyrgyz people in my stays in some very remote places in Central Asia. This is a story of embarking on the trip of a lifetime.
