From a store that grossed 30k in sales to a 140 billion family net worth, that’s the story of Sam Walton. ✅2 FREE AUDIOBOOKS✅ https://amzn.to/2Enayo8¬¬¬ And also a little store called Walmart that did a modest 500 billion in sales last year. Around 270 million customers a week. What is the Sam Walton made in America about? It’s a book that gives you the full story on Sam Walton and the company he built and how he did it. Sam Walton made in America 3 Main Nuggets 1. Swim upstream and always think small Meaning: Whenever you're starting something new, don’t look at what others are doing and copy them word for word, but at what they are not doing and improve it. What I mean: Whenever you doing something new, the easy way to go is the way that everyone else is going, going the opposite way is choosing to go the way with the most resistance. And people will try to tell you, theirs to much competition, it's not possible, you just don’t get it, but in reality, the only people that make a difference are the ones that dare to do things differently. In the Book: Sam originally started working at JC penny and eventually got his store, and then he got into the discount business. And he went out there and rather than make 10x the money, he got the best deal and passed them on to the customers. No one else was doing that, and most people probably thought about how much money Sam was losing out on. But in reality, Sam knew that the true value was in the customer. 2. Share your profits with your Associates and your savings with your customers Meaning: it means passing on the profits to the employees, and whenever you get a good deal on a product pass it on to the customer. Don’t just pocket the profit. What I mean: You might think that your job as a business owner is just to make money and take care of the customer, but in reality, your employees are the foundation of the business. So if they don’t feel taking care off, then your company will probably not grow as much. In the Book: Sam talk about Panties in the book and also how the way you treat employees is the exact way they’ll treat customers. Example, Sam got a deal for some panties, and he could sell the panties for 1.29 and make a big profit, but instead, I sold them for 3 panties for $1, and he passed it on to the customers 3. Customer 100% guaranteed, pass on every penny to the customer Meaning: The bigger you get, the more problems you’ll have to face, and the bigger the issues will become. But the only thing that really matters in a business is the customers. Financial Work Study: They were so busy with paperwork and managing files and answering phone calls or trying to get more students that they didn’t focus on the ones they had. Gap: They only cared about sales and the store is organized, it became less about the customer. What I mean: The minute the business becomes about fulfilling the daily task and not about the customer, then that’s the moment things will start to fail. For Example, I make a video every day, the minute I stop reading the comments and listening to you guys is the minute the channel fails. In the Book: The bigger Walmart got, the more people tried to standardize the stores and not focus on them from a store to store bases. And Sam found hard to maintain that individuality alive. Because what works for one store in one neighborhood won't work for another in another state. Bonus: Market the toothpaste ad and the tv ad | Competition Cons: People say he put small business out of business. I just think it’s the cost of the competition. Theirs this new college now for example that’s saying that if they can’t get your a job after your degree, they won't charge you a penny. That might become the standard, or a lot of students might stop going to certain college. Innovation and taking care of the customers are what keeps you in business.
