We usually use the SBHP (stick blender/hot process) method to make our soap because it is what works for us. You can use any recipe you would like, there's no secret ingredients that make this work. Always be sure to wear safety equipment. Please note that even though your soap will be fully saponified after the process, it will be somewhat soft and disintegrate quickly if you don't allow it to fully cure. Our cure time is 4-6 weeks Notes about this batch: 16 pounds of oil, total approximate weight is around 25. Larger batches take more time to push through the saponification batches. On smaller batches we've reached the applesauce stage around the 5 minute mark. Batch size, power of your mixing method, oil temperature and liquid content all play a role in the time it takes to saponify.
