Buhonero Clandestino Concert Gallery at Black Cabin

The Latin and Asian Chimera is alive The myth started on earlier 2017 when Bangkok’s media shared news about a Latin artist based in Bangkok, he is Buhonero Clandestino, and as promised, he is bringing the best of latin America to Asia. LATISIA is the concept that merge both Latin and Asian culture thru live music and illustrations. The first itineration of this idea was held early September at Black Cabin with the collaboration of local artists. Guest were astonished as they walked thru the art pieces done by Buhonero Clandestino and Pupp Charuvastr, these pieces takes 4 elements of a daily life, such as: FOOD, WORK, FLYBY and DANCE, portraying the root of our cultural behaviors. Duck Republic settled the vibe with some traditional thai pop tunes, followed up by YAAN, and experimental super band that brings acoustic ASEAN instruments and merge with the digital era of loops and sounds effects. Finally, the night concluded when Buhonero Clandestino and the Clandestino Band took the stage to bring the LATISIA tunes, songs influenced by Latin American rhythm, such as Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Bolero and Bossa, among others to sing about mankind and cultural aspects. Most of the songs were original, although we could hear some familiar melodies such as: “Besame mucho” and “Oye Como va”, they performed their first single: “SOCORRO” recorded and producer here in Thailand and go on several others, such as “Orbita” and “La Deuda” already a crowd favorite. This Concert Gallery left a wonderful result as revenues were directed to get educational tools for the Khlong Toei Music Program, in which Buhonero Clandestino will be visiting to deliver them with a unique Latin Music class.
