Axe From the Grave - ADVENTURE REVIEW - 4/5 stars

An adventure review for the 5th edition adventure Axe From the Grave from Keys From the Golden Vault - I recommend running it as part of a Ravenloft (Curse of Stradh) campaign, or a standalone adventure out in a backwater region - particularly if your D&D group has a bard in the company. One of the reasons I gave this adventure a 4 instead of a 5 star review (which I forgot to mention in the video) was that the village of Toadhop could have used a full map. In addition, they had included a wilderness encounter in the area (perhaps with an original monster that fit the foggy and swampy wilderness where it is set, or if the designers had brought back a monster from an older edition for 5E, or even a new Living Spell that was created by the Golden Axe, which was then set off into the wilderness), then it would have extended the adventure in an interesting way. Perhaps using a "wolf in sheep's clothing" or if they had brought back the "hangman's tree".
