STEPS *First begin by measuring the following: shoulder to wrist, top of shoulder to lower hip and back width 1. Draw a wing shape on the felt using A and B measurements 2. Draw a curve to join the two straight lines 3. Repeat 3 more times for 4 wing shapes 4. Cut elastic lengths that will comfortably fit around the wrist and shoulders 5. Slide elastic through the slits in the felt. Wrist lengths on the wings and shoulder lengths on the rectangle 6. Secure on the other side of the felt with the hot glue gun 7. Lay the felt pieces with elastic with right sides facing upwards. Place the rectangle between the two wings. Stitch the rectangle onto the two wing shapes with the elastic 8. Lay another row of red feather shapes. Pin and stitch into place. Repeat this process of pinning and stitching 11. Place the other wing shape mirror image to the wing covered in feathers and repeat steps 7 and 8 12. Place the feathered wings and back of the wing’s wrong sides together. Stitch the top of the wings down and the centre edges. Clip any excess feathers 13. Flip the bottom row of feathers up and stitch the curve of the wing together 14. Glue the feather boa around the top and side of the wing *Measure and note the following measurements: back width and back to knee 15. Cut out the two felt shapes using the measurements to create a tail 16. Stitch the two tail shapes together. Stitch along the top and around the bottom 17. Leave gaps at the top sides wide enough for the trim to be threaded through 18. Glue the felt feathers onto the tail starting with the red felt. Fill the tail with feathers 19. Thread the sequin trim through the gap at the top of the tail.
