The black bear action heated up quick in New Brunswick, Canada. My MAXIMA arrow released from my BOWTECH bow found it's mark and a large male black bear took a dirt nap. This was a guided black bear hunt in Canada over bait sites. Gerald the guide pre-baited a month prior. Him and the other guides (Geralds employees) freshened over twenty bait sites each and every morning. Gerald had his bait sites spread a couple miles apart, which prevented many black bears from overlapping bait sites. It ensured that most of the sites had different black bear using the baits. The bear hunters can have several black bears to choose from this way and it increases the hunter's odds of actually seeing a shooter black bear.
