Other Tidbits: Their new EP 'Headcase' was self-released a few weeks ago. We were hoping to get a CD autographed, but there weren't any for sale. It was a free show and they even had free drinks! The EP is only 5 songs long, but the band played a lot more than 5 songs, which was another nice surprise! Jackson Phillips previously fronted the electro-pop duo Carousel. This was also the first show of Day Wave's upcoming tour, as a headliner and with Blond Redhead. I forgot to ask Jackson what the names of the other songs were when we were talking to him after the show. Fortunately, Oakland is his hometown and he will be back later this month. Setlist: 1.
