There are recent announcements to cut development aid in Africa by the US, UK, Netherlands and other Western governments. What does an Africa without aid from former colonies and Western powers look like? Are other Western and Eastern governments planning to fill these spots? Do we need a new system? How will we do it and with whom? Mary Waweru is the Kenyan founder of Crest Impact and based in Finland. She is a consultant in anti-racism, decoloniality, intersectionality, social impact and global diversity, equity and inclusion. Olusegun Rowaiye, CPA, is joining Mary for a second time. He is Yoruba and works in finance in the United States, where he supports companies with their strategic financing and acquisition needs. In his spare time, he writes and speaks on the miseducation of the African and the world at large, that ensures continued division, disinterest and exploitation. His desire is to see Africans truly educated and informed about our story and the realities of the world we live - on the continent and abroad - with a vision to have Africans involved in their own liberation.
