Peru 2008

A short video of Peru, ending in a panoramic view of Machu Picchu. On a mountain trail high in the Andes lies the long lost Inca city of Machu Picchu (located 2,400 meters / 7,875 ft above sea level) - lost until 1911 when it was found by Hiram Bingham. The trip included: Lima, Nazca, Ica, Pisco, The Ballestas Islands, Paracas National Reserve, Cusco, Sacred Valley, Pisaq, Agua Callientes, Machu Picchu, Andeahauylillas, Raqchi, Abra La Raya, Pacara, Puno, Lake Titicaca, Islas Uros, Isla Taquile, Juliaca About the only place in Peru not visited within the fortnight (well it was just over a fortnight actually!) was Arequipa to see Condors, but we saw some at Machu Picchu anyway. Over the trip I took around 1,000 pictures but due to having to rush around a lot of places (at the insistence of our guides) a lot of them had to be rushed in the hope of fixing them or cropping them when back home. A number of the places visited were UNESCO World Heritage sites.
